چکیده

Estimating crop evapotranspiration is vital for the calculation of irrigation water requirements. Remote sensing data have proven to be a valuable and efficient tool estimating evapotranspiration. It has been used intensively over past decade due free, high temporal spectral resolution availability. The main aim this study was estimate (ET) selected area in El-Beheira governorate, Egypt based on Simplified Surface Energy Balance Index (S-SEBI) using nine Landsat-8 images acquired from January December 2020. performance studied method compared with CROPWAT-8 model. results revealed acceptable accuracy ET estimated S-SEBI algorithms Landsat 8 according coefficient determination (r2 = 0.82) root mean square error (RMSE 0.53 mm/day). Therefore, it recommended use calculate spatial distribution provide required information determining requirements suggesting an management strategy.

Water balance-based actual evapotranspiration reconstruction from ground and satellite observations over the conterminous United States

The objective of this study is to produce an observationally based monthly evapotranspiration (ET) product using the simple water balance equation across the conterminous United States (CONUS). We adopted the best quality ground and satellite-based observations of the water budget components, i.e., precipitation, runoff, and water storage change, while ET is computed as the residual. Precipitat...

A New Temperature-Vegetation Triangle Algorithm with Variable Edges (TAVE) for Satellite-Based Actual Evapotranspiration Estimation

The estimation of spatially-variable actual evapotranspiration (AET) is a critical challenge to regional water resources management. We propose a new remote sensing method, the Triangle Algorithm with Variable Edges (TAVE), to generate daily AET estimates based on satellite-derived land surface temperature and the vegetation index NDVI. The TAVE captures heterogeneity in AET across elevation zo...

Development and evaluation of an actual evapotranspiration estimation algorithm using satellite remote sensing and meteorological observational network in Oklahoma

Actual evapotranspiration (AET) estimation using satellite sensors can improve water resources planning and water regulation in irrigated areas. This paper evaluates an AET estimation algorithm developed by integrating satellite remote sensing and an environmental monitoring network in Oklahoma, USA for operational daily water management purpose. First, a surface energy balance evapotranspirati...
